Before we arrive

When you call, there is no rush and no pressure. We talk through your dog or cat's situation, answer your questions, and arrange a time that suits your family. You might choose a sunny afternoon, or an evening when everyone can be home. We will let you know roughly how long to expect — usually around an hour — so the visit never feels hurried.

You are welcome to prepare a favourite spot: a well-loved bed, a soft blanket on the living-room floor, a patch of garden, or simply your own lap. Some families light a candle, play quiet music, or gather photographs. There is no right way. The only thing that matters is that your companion feels safe.

When we're with you

We arrive calmly and without a rush. First, we simply spend a little time — letting your pet settle, meeting them gently, and making sure you understand each step before anything begins. Nothing happens until you are ready.

When the time feels right, we begin with a gentle sedative. This is a small injection that lets your dog or cat drift into a deep, comfortable sleep, completely relaxed and free of pain or anxiety. Many pets simply doze off in the arms of the person they love most. Only once they are fully asleep and at peace do we proceed with the final, painless injection. It is quiet and gentle, and for most families more peaceful than they had feared.

Time to say goodbye

Throughout, you are free to hold your pet, to speak softly, to stroke their fur, or simply to be near. Afterward, there is no need to hurry. You may sit with your companion for as long as you wish — a few quiet minutes, or much longer. We will follow your lead entirely.

When you are ready, we will gently guide you through aftercare, whether that is taking your pet into your own care or arranging respectful cremation. We carry the practical details so you can stay present for what matters.
