Sometimes home isn't the right setting, and that is completely okay. For families who prefer it, we offer a peaceful goodbye in a quiet comfort room at Skillman Animal Clinic — away from the busier areas of the practice, with soft lighting and a private, unhurried atmosphere.
You will not sit in a crowded waiting room. We arrange a calm space where you can hold your dog or cat, bring a favourite blanket or toy, and take all the time you need before and after. As with our in-home goodbyes, we begin with gentle sedation so your companion is fully relaxed and comfortable before anything else.
Our team has cared for pets at every stage of life, and we bring that same gentleness to their final moments. Whether your family is large or it is just the two of you, we will make space for your goodbye to feel right.
When you are ready, we will talk through aftercare together, with no pressure and no hurry.
